The development of domestic cosmetic raw materials is still in the immature stage, and there is a long way to go with Japan, Europe and the United States and other countries. To gradually shorten the gap with foreign cosmetic raw materials industry, it is not possible to achieve it overnight. According to the current situation of industrial development, the following suggestions are put forward:
1) commissioned research
As mentioned above, domestic science and technology and innovation strength have made relevant breakthroughs in recent years, so it is necessary for raw material manufacturers to deeply tap the scientific research and innovation capabilities of universities and research institutes, and actively cooperate to promote the local industrialization of high value-added raw materials abroad. Raw material agents also need to change their roles, not only satisfied with agency and sales, but also through the cultivation of local related raw material enterprises, through the form of self construction and equity participation to consolidate the distribution relationship and change the passive situation.
2) divergent thinking
We should not be a frog at the bottom of a well, nor be complacent. Instead, we should explore cross industry high-quality resources to enter the cosmetics industry with a broader vision, and organically integrate the development and application of science and technology in food, medicine, health care products and other industries with the cosmetics industry, which will bring forth new innovations.
3) pragmatic research and development
With the development of economy, the consumption upgrading environment, the final demand of consumers will return to the product itself. Only when we buy products that are safe, pleasant and effective after use, can we finally get the long-term favor of consumers. This also puts forward higher requirements for raw material manufacturers, especially for efficacy based ingredients, which should not only meet the concept claims, but also overcome the fickle mentality, constantly precipitate, and promote the substantive development of cosmetics raw material industry with clear production structure, accurate content, controllable risk and clear efficacy.
4) knowledge protection
At the same time of investment in human and material resources to promote technological innovation, we should also transform and protect the intellectual property rights of the relevant scientific research results. Only when enterprises pay enough attention to intellectual property rights, can they get rapid development.
Based on the above four points, China's raw material industry can continuously shorten the distance with foreign countries, achieve considerable development and stand in the forefront of the world.
Standard requirements for cosmetic raw materials
The cosmetics industry is a product to realize consumers' pursuit of "beauty". In order to meet the safety, stability, efficacy and usability of cosmetics, cosmetics raw materials as the foundation of cosmetics should meet the following requirements:
1) cosmetic raw materials shall be subject to safety risk assessment to ensure that under normal, reasonable and foreseeable conditions of use, there is no harm to human health.
2) the quality and safety requirements of cosmetics raw materials shall comply with the relevant national regulations and be compatible with the level achieved by the production process and detection technology.
3) the technical requirements for raw materials include the name of cosmetic raw materials, registration number (CAS number and / or EINECS number, inci name, Latin scientific name, etc.), use purpose, application scope, specification, testing method, potential safety risk substances and control measures.
4) the packaging, storage, transportation and use of cosmetics raw materials shall not cause pollution to cosmetics raw materials. Packaging materials that directly contact cosmetic raw materials shall be safe, shall not have chemical reaction with raw materials, and shall not migrate or release toxic and harmful substances harmful to human body. Cosmetic raw materials with temperature, relative humidity or other special requirements shall be stored according to the specified conditions.
5) cosmetics raw materials shall be able to trace the basic information of raw materials (including but not limited to Chinese name of raw material standard, inci name, CAS number and / or EINECS number), manufacturer name, purity or content, production batch number or production date, shelf life and other Chinese marks through labels. The identification of cosmetics raw materials belonging to hazardous chemicals shall conform to the regulations of relevant national departments.
6) the information about the source, using position, etc. of cosmetics raw materials from animals and plants shall be clear. The source and quality specification of cosmetics raw materials for animal organ tissue and blood products or extracts shall be specified. Such raw materials not approved for use in the country of origin shall not be used.
7) the use of new cosmetic materials shall comply with the relevant national regulations.

In order to verify the safety and efficacy of raw materials, it is necessary to equip with precise physical and chemical analysis instruments, in vivo and in vitro efficacy test instruments, as well as scientific detection methods and professional operation and analysis personnel. Therefore, perfect physical and chemical, safety, efficacy analysis and testing equipment and experimental ability are a major advantage. In addition, the actual demand for cosmetics is clear, and they are familiar with the technical regulations of the global cosmetics industry, which can fully meet the needs of raw material manufacturers. If in the future, the R & D center of cosmetics manufacturers can develop into the open R & D innovation center, it will certainly promote the rapid development of cosmetics raw material industry.
